Arthur J. Pergament
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Arthur J. Pergament is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pergament Advisors, LLC, based in New York. Arthur founded the Pergament LOHAS Fund in the belief that LOHAS living and the movement to ethical consumerism is rapidly accelerating and penetrating further into consumer consciousness across all geographies and all socio-economic levels. Prior to founding Pergament Advisors, Arthur served as a Senior Partner at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn. During his seven years at Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, Arthur advanced from Analyst and Portfolio Manager to Senior Partner, until he sold his partnership interest to Wilmington Trust Company. During this period, Arthur was instrumental in growing assets under management from $300 million to $5.5 billion. His responsibilities included running their high net-worth division as well as fixed income trading. Previously, he was President of Garden State Brickface and Stucco and Vice President of Pergament Home Stores. Arthur also Co-Founded Accelerated Technologies Inc., an incubator specializing in the development of coronary and vascular devices. He served on The Board of Directors of Armstrong World Industries, Inc., in addition to serving on their Finance and Audit Committee, from 2006-2009. Arthur earned his BSE from Washington University in St. Louis, and JD from Hofstra Law School. Arthur has provided market commentary during numerous national television appearances on both CNNfn’s Money Morning and ABC’s Business Week Weekend. Arthur has also been featured in Fortune magazine.

Steven J. Brown

Steven J. Brown joined Pergament Advisors, LLC in 2005 and is currently a Portfolio Manager focused on fundamental public/private equity and debt research across all Pergament funds and is directly involved in deal structuring, negotitation, and financial due diligence. Steve also, when necessary, takes financial operation roles in Pergament’s private portfolio companies. Previously, Steve was a Senior Anayst at two internal hedge funds - Midtown Strategic Capital, a long/short equity fund and Richmond Capital, an event-driven and merger arbritage fund. Prior to Pergament, Steve was an Associate with Kaupthing Bank, a European-based merchant bank, in the corporate finance group focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions and mezzanine financing in private equity transactions. Steve began his career in investment banking at UBS where he was an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Steve graduated from Columbia University with BA in Economics-Philosophy and was a member of the basketball team.

Jacob M. Koshland
COO, Little Duck Organics

Jacob joined Pergament Advisors in 2014 as an Associate focused on financial and operational management for Pergament LOHAS portfolio companies. Since Sept. 2014, he has served as the COO of Little Duck Organics in building out its sales, operations, and accounting teams. Out of college, he spent two years as an Operations Analyst at the hedge fund Bridgewater Associates. In mid-2012, he changed courses dramatically and journeyed to Malawi, a small country in south-eastern Africa, to manage and grow a tomato canning start-up called Kwithu Kitchen. He earned his Bachelor's of Arts in Economics and History at Williams College.
